In 2026 most industrial condensing dehumidifiers land between $1,200 and $9,500 per unit, with large engineered packages reaching $15,000–$35,000. Capacity sets the anchor: 70–150 pint machines sit near $900–$3,000, while 200–600 pint units run $2,500–$18,000. How the price is actually built up
Three things decide the number on a dehumidifier quote, and only one of them is the machine. The first is capacity, normally quoted in litres or pints per day at a stated condition such as 30 °C / 80% RH. Capacity scales with compressor size, coil area and airflow, which is why a 150 pint machine costs far more than two 70 pint machines even where they remove the same total water.
The second is installation scope. Published commercial ranges put labour at $75–$150 per hour, with simple drop-in connections starting around $150–$450 and ducted installs reaching $3,000 or more. Rigging matters too: crane or forklift hire is commonly $300–$4,000, with permits another $0–$800.
The third is specification. The limits worth knowing
A condensing machine is the cheapest per litre of water only while the air is warm. Below roughly 15 °C capacity falls away and near 5 °C the coil ices, so a cold store project must move to desiccant rotor technology, which is a different order of cost. Running cost deserves the same scrutiny: a fouled filter and dirty coil can waste up to 30% of the machine's output, which is a silent price rise nobody quotes for.
